Enrichment & Learning Experiences

🎨 Art

Art is offered through guided, open-ended projects as well as free exploration. Children may choose to participate in structured art activities or independently explore available materials. The focus is on creativity, self-expression, fine motor development, and confidence—there is no “right” way to create.

✍️ Poetry

Poetry is introduced in both structured and unstructured ways to encourage language development, reading, and writing skills. Children may explore poetry through dancing, drawing, listening, speaking, or writing. Poetry is presented as a joyful and expressive way to play with words and build a love of language.

🤟 Basic Sign Language

Basic sign language is available for children and families who are interested in learning a second language or enhancing communication skills. This is optional and introduced in a supportive, fun, and age-appropriate manner.

🧘 Yoga & Mindful Movement

Yoga may be introduced as a gentle way to start the day or transition between activities. Sessions focus on body awareness, breathing, balance, and calming strategies. Yoga supports self-regulation, emotional awareness, and physical well-being in a playful, accessible format.

🌿 Indoor & Outdoor Learning

Children have access to both indoor and outdoor learning spaces, all of which are supervised. Outdoor activities are conducted weather-permitting, and children are expected to wear appropriate clothing and footwear. Movement, exploration, and fresh air are valued as essential parts of learning and regulation.

📚 Core Subjects & Supplemental Worksheets

Core subjects such as math, reading, and language are supported through non-traditional, hands-on instruction. We may use our curriculum or a parent-preferred curriculum. Supplemental worksheets are used intentionally to reinforce concepts—not as the primary method of instruction.

🎲 Games

Both cooperative and competitive games are incorporated to build problem-solving skills, decision-making, social interaction, emotional regulation, and resilience. Games provide natural opportunities to work through challenges, practice communication, and learn from real-time experiences.

🧩 Projects

Children are encouraged to participate in individual and group projects that foster creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking. Projects are offered as opportunities—not requirements—and are adapted to each child’s interests and comfort level.

🧸 Play

Play is woven into all aspects of the day. A child’s work is play, and through play, children develop social skills, emotional regulation, cognitive flexibility, and independence. Whether structured or free, play is recognized as a powerful and essential learning tool.
