Our Pathway, Inc. is committed to protecting your family’s personal and educational information. Any information shared with us is used only to support your child’s learning, provide services, and meet state and scholarship requirements.

We follow applicable Florida education laws, FERPA guidelines, and STEP UP for Students – Unique Abilities (UA) privacy standards. Student information is never shared without parent/guardian permission unless required by law.

Our Pathway, Inc. is committed to protecting the privacy and confidentiality of students and families we serve. We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect sensitive information collected through our website and educational services.

Data Handling & Records Retention Policy

Data Collection & Use
Our Pathway, Inc. may collect student and family information including names, contact details, educational records, service documentation, and scholarship-related information. This data is used solely for:

  • Educational service delivery

  • Progress monitoring and documentation

  • Parent communication

  • STEP UP UA reimbursement and compliance

 

Data Storage & Security
Records are maintained using reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect against unauthorized access, disclosure, or misuse.

 

Records Retention
Student and service records are retained in accordance with:

  • Florida education record keeping requirements

  • STEP UP for Students documentation standards

  • Applicable insurance and audit requirements

Records are securely stored and destroyed when no longer required by law or program guidelines.

Parent Rights
Parents and legal guardians may request access to their child’s records and request corrections as permitted by law.

STEP UP for Students & Scholarship Data

Our Pathway, Inc. collects and maintains only the minimum personal, educational, and service-related information necessary to provide educational support services and to comply with STEP UP for Students – Unique Abilities (UA) documentation and reimbursement requirements.

All student and family information is handled in accordance with:

  • Florida Statutes §1002.41 (Home Education Programs)

  • Florida Statutes §1002.421 (Private School Compliance – when applicable)

  • Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), 20 U.S.C. §1232g

  • Applicable STEP UP for Students policies and provider guidelines

 

Student records are treated as confidential and are accessed only by authorized personnel for legitimate educational, operational, or compliance purposes.

All scholarship eligibility, allowable services, documentation, and reimbursement determinations are governed by STEP UP for Students policies and applicable Florida statutes, including but not limited to s. 1002.385, Florida Statutes.

Families are responsible for ensuring that services selected align with their student’s scholarship eligibility and approved uses of funds. Our Pathway, Inc. does not determine scholarship eligibility, award funding, or override STEP UP for Students requirements.

Use of this website or participation in services does not create a legal or educational entitlement beyond the terms outlined in written service agreements.
